How Did This Happen to Me?
Like most people, you may be wondering how something like this could happen to you. How did you find yourself in this situation? While individuals can make mistakes and act recklessly, law enforcement officers also make mistakes. Whether you are innocent or you believe you are guilty, law enforcement officers and prosecutors must obey the law when investigating a crime, arresting a suspect, and prosecuting a case.
Our Charlotte criminal lawyers look very closely at the circumstances that led to your arrest to determine if any of your civil liberties were violated. Did the officer have probable cause to pull you over for a DUI? Was the officer properly trained in field sobriety tests? Was a search and seizure conducted illegally? Were you questioned without being notified of your rights? Were you denied an attorney?
These are just some of the questions and issues that our attorneys investigate when preparing a defense to criminal charges. We understand the potential consequences of a guilty verdict. Therefore, we passionately and aggressively pursue each legal strategy until we develop the best strategy for your case.
